  • Shiba Inu’s alternative token LEASH whips up 13% gains on the SHEboshi launch.
  • The new digital collectible project employs the experimental protocol ERC-404.
  • SHIB team rolled out the phases of SHEboshis mint with eligibility prerequisites.

Shiba Inu developers have officially opened doors to SHEboshis, the new digital collectibles announced last week. Embodying the spirit of innovation and women empowerment, SHEboshis also serves as the counterpart to the original Shiboshis NFT collection by SHIB Token, released on October 14, 2021.

The 10K-strong original profile picture collection sold out in only 35 minutes. Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, stated, “This NFT drop has eclipsed anything we could have imagined.” Three years later, the new SHEboshis are a testament to the SHIB Army’s journey and a bid to redefine the digital finance landscape.

To build the pixelated profile pic collection, Shibarium developers employed the ERC-404 standard. This presents an experiment, as ERC-404 blends ERC-20 and ERC-721 standards on Ethereum’s (ETH) blockchain. Widely used for inscribing digital relics on-chain, these NFT protocols can bring extra utility for Shiba Inu’s community, as part of the NFT sale proceedings will go towards a SHIB burning campaign.

Shiba Inu’s LEASH Loosens from Bearish Grip

Following the launch of the long-awaited SHEboshis digital collectibles, Shiba Inu’s alternative token Doge Killer (LEASH) embarked on a bullish breakout, despite other SHIB Ecosystem tokens trading sideways. To illustrate, LEASH almost broke through $400 in the late evening of  January 20, 2024, but got rejected at $397.95 to face a market correction to $303.19.

The plausible reason for this could be the fact that LEASH holders received priority to acquire a SHEboshi NFT before it went out to the public. The feminine cartoon dog digital collectibles have garnered the SHIB Army’s attention. LEASH trading volume has touched the $9 million mark over the last 24 hours, while SHEboshis remains a hot topic among SHIB custodians.

However, the original Shiboshi NFT collection owners will be the first to get SHEboshis, as the claim window is now open for 48 hours. To easily understand who’s available for this mint, SHIB Token’s team took a snapshot at block 19227900, enlisting all the eligible wallet addresses.

On the Flipside

  • The official blog message from Shiba Inu’s team asserts that the public SHEboshi sale is planned but not guaranteed in the case of LEASH and Shiboshi holders picking up all the ERC-404-based digital collectibles.

Why This Matters

The project aims to boost Shibarium’s liquidity flow, increase SHIB burns, and test the unchartered waters with an experimental inscription protocol on Ethereum PoS.
