The much-awaited Shiba Inu (SHIB) collectible card game, Shiba Eternity, on the blockchain is about to take off. This was confirmed by the developers and Shiba Inuโs staff. Developer Mazrael announced some significant bug fixes, including the Princess Andromeda card fix and Stealth Fighters modification.

The game was first launched on mobile, with the Android app garnering over 100,000 downloads and a respectable rating of 4.4 from 15.6K reviews and Shiba Eternity on iOS scored an even higher rating of 4.8.
Upon its October 2022 launch, the mobile version of Shiba Eternity surpassed other popular card games like Uno. However, the Play to Earn (P2E) version of Shiba Eternity has been the central topic among active SHIB Army members since it became clear that Shiboshi digital collectible owners will be eligible to earn revenue while battling in The Dogjo.
Hereโs Why Shiba Eternity Is Pivotal for Shibarium
Last month, Shiba Inuโs lead dev, Shytoshi Kusama, marked next quarter as the likely launch date for Shiba Eternityโs Beta version on Shibarium. As the original Shiboshis NFT collection is limited to 10,000 digital cards, the question is how Shiba Eternityโs blockchain version can meet player demand.
A non-fungible token (NFT) rental system was constructed on Shiba Eternityโs P2E version to solve this issue. The Shiboshis breeding mechanism was initially mentioned by the Bad Idea AI (BAD) chatbot on Shibariumโs official Discord channel. The first version of on-chain Shiba Eternity will also feature โkibbles and Shiboshis, plus new cards and a breeding ( ! @sheboshis !) system are in the pipeline.โ
Finally, the P2E version gives an extra utility case for Shibarium Layer-2, Shiba Inuโs public blockchain. Recently, Shibarium L2 hit its new peak in total value locked (TVL) as WoofSwap DEX joined Shibarium. Boosting the TVL to $3.9M is a great example of what the game can bring to the table.
