  • In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Shiba Inu announced the SHEboshis collection.
  • Paying homage to women’s empowerment, these NFTs also have in-game utility.
  • SHIB Magazine reveals how much of NFT revenue will go towards SHIB burns.

Shiba Inu’s developer team is launching a new digital collectible project called SHEboshi. These non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are based on the ERC-404 protocol, combining the best traits of previously successful ERC-20 and ERC-721 protocols used for inscriptions on Ethereum’s network.

The SHEboshis NFTs are meant to be the counterpart of the original Shiboshis NFT collection, released in October 2021. According to the latest issue of SHIB Magazine, these NFTs are a monument to women’s empowerment in the blockchain industry.

“These fierce ladies pack a punch with their distinctive abilities, making them the perfect partners your Shiboshis have been yearning for,” states the introduction of the ERC-404-based SHEboshis collection. This alludes to the likelihood of SHEboshis NFTs being blended with the original Shiboshi NFTs in Shiba Eternity, a collectible card game based on the characters of SHIB’s NFT collection.

How to Claim Your Free SHEboshi NFT

To claim a SHEboshi NFT, SHIB Army members should brace themselves for an upcoming airdrop. According to the latest edition of SHIB Magazine, a snapshot based on the hierarchy of SHIB holders owning an original Shiboshi NFT will follow to determine the claimable quantity of SHEboshi NFTs.

This hierarchy of Shiboshi holders is based on how long the digital collectible has been held. Shibarium developers expect this process to “take a few days,” meaning that the free digital collectible claims should start this weekend and last approximately 72 hours.

SHEboshis NFTs were confirmed to launch on Ethereum by SHIB’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama, who also insisted that these collectibles will be bridged onto Shibarium L2 “shortly after the launch.” After the claimable period ends, the feminine digital collectibles will go live on UniSwap and ShibaSwap for crypto enthusiasts to bid.

These NFT sales are meant to enhance SHIB burns, as specified in the magazine. For example, the revenue from ERC-404 protocol-based SHEboshi digital relics will go towards burning all three tokens of the Shiba Inu Ecosystem.

The revenue burn allocation is as follows:

  • 6% main token Shiba Inu (SHIB) burns
  • 1% Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) burns
  • 1% DogeKiller (LEASH) burns

On top of that, 10% of the profits garnered from SHEboshis NFTs on Uniswap will go to charitable initiatives, while another 2% is allocated to burn SHI stablecoin and TREAT in the future, as these cryptocurrencies are yet to be released to the public.

On the Flipside

  • Shiba Inu (SHIB) burning estimates from the revenue of SHEboshis NFT collection stand only on the condition that there will be unclaimed NFTs after the free airdrop.

Why This Matters

The freshly-arrived ERC-404 protocol on Ethereum is slated to bring new utility opportunities for non-fungible tokens, as it can be combined with previous NFTs in-game and used for cryptocurrency burning.
