Shiba Inu Creates Fund to Empower Women on the Blockchain

Shiba Inu community encourages women to get into the blockchain with a $50,000 fund to spark female creativity.

SHIB Token developers joined The International Women of Blockchain (IWB) event last week in Washington, DC to announce a fund to support female workers in the crypto sphere. This comes just a week after the SXSW 2023 Experience in Austin, Texas, where Shiba Inu’s technology execs Sherri Cuono and Marcie Jastrow unveiled the roadmap for Shiba Inu’s metaverse.

SHIB: The Metaverse is in development with The Third Floor (TTF), an audiovisual studio based in Hollywood, California. During the SXSW, the first virtual HUB was revealed – The WAGMI Temple. Shiba Inu’s enthusiasts were able to participate in a group meditation and see the inaugural hub first-hand. A flyover of the temple is currently available on SHIB: The Metaverse’s new website.

$50,000 Raised for Women to Shine on the Blockchain

Lead developer Shytoshi Kusama created a support fund for women to build projects in Shibarium, the Layer-2 upgrade for Shiba Inu. Naturally, Shy Kusama was the first to contribute, with $25,000 added to the fund.

The good deed was followed by NFAI adding another $10,000. The NFAI project is focused on the opportunity to bring traditional hedge funds and lending systems to DeFi crypto users, as well as artificial intelligence, according to Forbes.

Thirdly, SHIB: The Metaverse Chief Advisor Marcie Jastrow and Sherri Cuono contributed towards the fund reaching $50,000 along with Lisa M. Watts, another female professional working in the SHIB Token’s executive team. 

Kusama addressed the importance of universal participation in the project: “We will never reach full adoption until blockchain is accessible and utilized by all genders and nationalities.”
