  • Snoop Passport NFTs go live on Arbitrum, $ARB gains 2.1% since mint launch.
  • Membership-based NFTs feature two videos from Paris and London shows.

Snoop Dogg’s Summer Tour this year will be accompanied by a collection of real-time evolving NFTs (non-fungible tokens), which will be stored on Arbitrum (ARB). These virtual tickets to the iconic rapper’s gigs can be purchased for just $43, costing 0.025 Ethereum (ETH). According to OpenSea, the creator reserves 4.20% of earnings, and there are currently 260 NFTs on offer.

The Snoop Passport Series doesn’t have a max supply; one NFT enthusiast can purchase up to 100 digital passports at once using MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet. To check for decentralized wallets, a user must scan the home page’s QR code.

What’s Included in Snoop Doggy Dogg’s NFT Passport?

Known already as one of the most active musicians in Web3, Snoop Dogg (real name Calvin Broadus Jr.) entered the space in March 2021 with his inaugural collection “A Journey with the Dogg,” later scoring a deal with the popular metaverse game The Sandbox to construct his own Snoopaverse.

In the Snoop Passport NFT, the California-bred multi-platinum hip-hop artist promises to show behind the scenes of his upcoming tour in detail, including rare content related to the “High School Reunion Tour,” which also features record-breaking Oakland rapper Too $hort and other acclaimed West Coast artists like Warren G and Wiz Khalifa.

Snoop hasn’t forgotten to pay homage to the most famous NFT collection – The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). Tagging along with the Snoop D-oh-double-G in the homepage photo, a human-sized Bored Ape is wearing a pink suit and camouflage pants, setting the tone for the event. Here’s what else Snoop Dogg’s NFT Passport includes:

  • Membership to VIP musical content
  • Access to exclusive digital art auctions
  • Daily updated footage from the tour
  • Early bird access to future airdrops

On the Flipside

  • In over 19 hours since the NFT mint page went live on OpenSea, the 3D NFT didn’t generate much trading activity and currently has only 192 unique owners.

Why This Matters

Non-fungible token (NFT) adoption for event ticketing is a promising use case for blockchain.
