Celebrities and pop stars often seek to take advantage of NFTs to better connect with fans through specialized content. However, it’s rare that icons themselves actually make the content, like legendary K-pop star G-dragon.

Korean pop singer and global style icon Kwon Ji-Yong, more famously known as G-Dragon, is bringing his artistic side to Web3 via NFTs, and his fans are more than excited.

The artist’s first collection, Archive of PEACEMINUSONE, will be released on OpenSea on March 21. The series will feature 13,444 unique NFTs that will make up his original painting, Archive 2016. Additionally, G-Dragon plans to release two similar NFT collections following this launch.

Each NFT from G-Dragon’s collection will reward holders with unique gifts and access to exclusive merchandise, games, and more.

  • Early access to ticket sales for G-Dragon’s concerts.
  • Special access to products from PEACEMINUSONE.
  • Access to G-Dragon’s latest album.
  • Opportunity to join the jigsaw puzzle game.

G-Dragon is likely releasing the NFT collection in anticipation of his upcoming album. The superstar shared earlier this year that he is working on an album scheduled to release in 2023 after years of silence. The former Big Bang member’s last solo release was the eponymous EP ‘Kwon Ji Yong’ in 2017.
