The emblematic Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh makes a memorable entrance into the Web3 world. This has been made possible through a collaboration between the Spanish Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum and Olyverse, a story-telling metaverse project focused on bringing culture and art to Web3.
The Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum in Madrid, Spain, just became the first national museum around the globe to produce its own non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Carlos Grenoir, the CEO of the Olyverse Web3 project, stated: โBy democratizing access to art through NFTs, we hope to enable individuals to experience Van Gogh’s works in a new way.โ
Van Gogh NFTs Made for Real-Life Exhibition
The stunning digital collectibles are not just made to flex on social media or online galleries. Thanks to a partnership with the South Korean tech giant LGs, the acquired digital art NFTs can be incorporated into physical exhibitions via LG Smart TV screens.
