Premier League football club Manchester City has collaborated with crypto exchange OKX to launch a non-fungible token (NFT) collection under a free-to-claim campaign.

Ranked as the Most Valuable Football Club Brand in the world by Brand Finance, Man City is based on the wider Etihad Campus and boasts three state-of-the-art facilities, including the 53,500-capacity Etihad Stadium, the 7,000-capacity Joie Stadium, and City Football Academy.

Man City Launches NFT Collection

According to an announcement dated April 22, Man City and OKX have joined forces with two talented artists to bring a creative twist to the 23/24 City Home shirt through the “Unseen City Shirts NFT” collection, promising a unique and captivating experience for collectors.

The limited edition NFT collection has varying rarity levels, including classic, rare, or ultra rare. Each rarity offers collectors different prizes, such as The Roses and the Bees NFT, a chance to play at the Etihad Stadium, and hospitality tickets to a Manchester City home game.

OKX debuted the first drop of the NFT collection, The Roses and the Bees, on Monday. The limited edition digital collectible, designed in collaboration with concept kit artist Christian Jeffery, features two iconic symbols tied to Manchester City: the Lancaster rose and the worker bee.

Per the announcement, the Lancaster rose symbolizes the importance of the club’s roots, while the bees flying around the roses represent the graft of the people of Manchester.

The free minting window for The Roses and the Bees started on April 22 and will remain open until April 25 at 9 AM UTC, after which users can view the rarity of their collections in their wallets. Man City will then kick off the second drop on April 29.
