Crypto.com Joins UEFA
A Wednesday, August 14, 2024 announcement has revealed that Crypto.com will join the UEFA Champions League as a global cryptocurrency platform partner and an official global sponsor.

The announcement comes after reports in March indicated that UEFA had begun accepting formal offers from potential cryptocurrency exchange sponsors for the upcoming 2024-27 Champions League.
Crypto.com’s multi-year partnership will be unveiled at the UEFA Super Cup, which will be held today, Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland. The high-profile match between Real Madrid and Atalanta will be held there. The global sponsorship will feature an array of initiatives, including in-stadium activations, broadcast integrations, and innovative advertising campaigns.
UEFA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein emphasized the importance of the collaboration with Crypto.com, stating, “This collaboration marks an exciting new chapter for the UEFA Champions League, as we embrace innovative technologies to enhance the experience for our fans and community.”
The latest venture builds on other sports-related partnerships by Crypto.com in previous years.

In March 2022, the exchange announced one of its biggest sports deals when it became the official crypto sponsor of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The collaboration followed the exchange’s attempted partnership with UEFA in the same year, which involved inking a deal for £428 million over five seasons. However, the collaboration failed due to regulatory concerns.
