Adidas Kicks Off ALTS Dynamic NFT Collection with Chapter 1

As NFTs continue to gain momentum, many global companies are reigniting their plans to enter the booming sector. One of which is Adidas with its latest venture. The international lifestyle brand is back with an exciting final chapter of its metaverse initiative, ALTs by Adidas, a dynamic NFT collection aimed at digitally transforming the brand. 

Stepping Back

ALTs by Adidas is a dynamic Profile Picture (PFP) NFT collection that transforms based on holders’ decisions and individual journeys. The project is the third and final phase of Adidas’ Web3 Roadmap. Adidas’ new experience is centered around brand identity and community participation, serving as an NFT-backed loyalty program. Users must burn their Into the Metaverse NFTs to mint ALTs and participate in the experience.

After users get their Adidas NFTs, they can start their journeys in Chapter 1: ALT[er], choosing from eight unique ALT[er] egos that will determine their journey. Each trait comes with varying rarities and perks, such as specialized experiences, in-game benefits, and more.

After participants choose their ALT[er] egos, they can indulge in a three-chapter interactive storyline. They’ll receive a unique PFP with their trait combinations and a rarity rank upon completion.

Here’s a quick list of universal utility ALT holders will earn: 

  • A stake in the ALTs by Adidas ecosystem.
  • Holders can access Intellectual Property (IP) related to their NFT. 
  • Token-gated Discord channel.
  • Exclusive access to games and metaverse projects. 
  • Invitations to holders-only community gatherings. 
  • ADICLUB rewards and benefits. 
  • Access to limited edition virtual wearables. 

At press time, the Into the Metaverse NFT collection has a floor price of 0.57 ETH or approximately $1,100, reporting over $97 million in trading volume. ALTs by Adidas have a floor price of 0.59 ETH or roughly $1,141, generating about $640,000 in trading volume.
