Yuga Labs Unveils Legends of the Mara Game for Otherdeed NFT

BAYC community apes into Otherdeed NFTs, as those will be needed to defend the Otherside.

Otherside, a subsidiary of Yuga Labs, announced today a new 2D blockchain game called Legends of the Mara, which will come with a dedicated NFT collection. According to the official statement by Otherside Meta, the narrative of the game will pick up where The Second Trip to the Otherside left off.

Otherdeed For Otherside Tops $12M in Daily Sales

Following the news from Yuga, the game-compatible Otherdeed for Otherside NFT collection boomed in trading activity on OpenSea. The secondary NFT marketplace recorded a massive 7,158 Ethereum (ETH) transactions over the last 24 hours, totaling over $12 million in sales. At press time, the NFT floor price for Otherdeed NFT is 1.7245 Ethereum (ETH) according to NFT Floor Price.

On top of that, the original Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection also spiked 179% in trading volume over the last 24 hours. However, the Legends of the Mara 2D game will not launch until May, with no specific date yet. Until then, Otherdeed NFT holders can find out if they have minted a Koda and prepare to defend the Otherside from intruders.

These NFTs include land on the Otherside but can later be redeemed for Vessels. The free Vessels claimed by Otherdeed NFT holders can transition into the next level Kodomara with additional skills if the player finds the right catalyst to forge. The characters are still a far cry from the ancient Koda, the rarest and most powerful character in the Legends of The Mara narrative.
