Shibarium Beta Bridge Out for Testing: Here’s What It Can Do

Shiba Inu’s highly-anticipated cross-chain bridge between Shibarium testnet and Ethereum is now fully operational and publicly available. This was announced by SHIB Token’s lead marketing specialist Lucie, who also mentioned that testing this revolutionary cross-chain solution for Shiba Inu doesn’t include real coins.

Moreover, the popular crypto influencer advised the Shiba Inu community to verify if they are on the official Shibarium Tech website, as phishing scams are again on the rise. These scams usually occur by imitating the official website and setting up a domain that’s visually very similar to the original one.

SHIB Community Tests Out the Bridge

Following the news, several SHIB Army members rushed to test the new tool. For instance, WoofWork.io, a project currently building a freelance marketplace for Shibarium, reported successful testing from Ethereum’s Goerli testnet to PuppyNet.The testnet has recently hit 33 million transactions and 17 million wallet addresses.

For example, the bridge can be accessed on beta.shibariumtech.com, while every crypto enthusiast can connect their wallets via browser wallets like MetaMask or WalletConnect. Most of the users connected are testing on the Goerli network.

When switching back to Ethereum, the Shibarium Bridge burns the tokens on the Shibarium network and replenishes the balance on Ethereum. A similar method is used in the previously leaked Shibburn UI on Shibarium. This publicly available Shibarium Bridge test is a prelude to the Shibarium mainnet’s estimated launch in August.

  • Real cryptocurrency will not be used on the Shibarium Beta Bridge, as it might result in losing the funds.
  • The Shibarium Beta Bridge does not support staking and delegation yet, while swaps take up to 30 minutes.
