  • FLOKI hits $60M daily trading volume after appearing on Chinese TV.
  • The Viking dog-themed crypto quickly gained 10%, now facing correction.
  • FLOKI continues its Chinese boost with the adapted Valhalla metaverse game.

Last weekend, the #121 ranked canine coin Floki (FLOKI) made the headlines again. CCTV-5, the main sports broadcaster in China, streamed the 2023 World Table Tennis Championships with a sideline banner reading “Powered by Floki.com.”

FLOKI Fetches Double-Digit Gains, But There’s a Catch

Shortly after the broadcast began, a 10% bull run for $FLOKI followed. This helped it reach a daily high of $0.00003611, but the memecoin retraced most of the gains in hours. At press time, Floki (FLOKI) is changing hands at $0.00003343, according to CoinGecko.

The 2.2% daily gains are overshadowed by the sparking activity on Floki on both Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Ethereum (ETH). The canine coin’s daily trading activity catapulted by 400% after being introduced to over 100 million people in China. Table tennis is one of the most popular sports in the country.

FLOKI recently got listed on Binance and KuCoin, which led to a massive spike in social mentions. However, Floki now has to come to terms with a 7.7% monthly deficit despite several significant breakthroughs.

FLOKI to Scrap with the Big Dogs?

In other related news, FLOKI continues its China-directed push with the lately announced Valhalla blockchain game’s Chinese version. The NFT-based title is already in sight on Crypto Twitter, where NFT enthusiasts are eager to check out the Play-2-Earn features.

Rival dog-themed memecoin Shiba Inu (SHIB) is also working on a metaverse game. The latest updates from SHIB Token’s developer team reveal that Shiba Inu’s Metaverse might see the light of day in Q4 of 2023, with Shibarium’s mainnet launching before that. Whichever blockchain game launches first, it would be for the canine coin-loving crypto community.

On the Flipside

  • The full version of the Valhalla metaverse game by FLOKI is yet to be released.
  • The last estimated Valhalla launch date on Open World initially was Q4 of 2022.
  • The beta version of Floki’s Valhalla can be played on the Optimism Goerli testnet.
