Ledger to Support Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) Shibarium Upgrade

Hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger assured the Shiba Inu (SHIB) community on Twitter that the new Layer-2 solution for the popular memecoin will be supported in Ledger’s Ecosystem. The most popular hardware wallet manufacturer will support SHIB‘s Layer-2 solution once it becomes publicly available.

Shiba Army’s Dogfight Ends Up in Unification

The response from Ledger Support comes after a wild weekend for the Shiba Inu community. Popularly known as the SHIB Army, the vast community of Shiba Inu holders got distracted from the developments in Shibarium. On Saturday, the devs got into a heated argument, resulting in Trophias, SHIB Queenie, Shiba Kraken, and many others being laid off.

Furthermore, that happened after the lead developer Shytoshi Kusama created a new Telegram channel for Shibarium-related information, cutting off several prominent members beforehand. The divide and conquer style of administration received immense backlash on Shiba Inu’s Subreddit & Discord.

Indeed, the controversial move stirred up the pot for Shiba Inu. However, the issue seems to be resolved, as 92% voted for Shytoshi Kusama to remain the leading developer.

BONE – Shibarium’s Only Gas Fee Token

Recently, the official developer team working on Shibarium announced that Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) would be the only fee to cover transactions on the new network.

As SHIB Token’s developer team joined forces with Unification for this project, some speculation surrounding Unification’s crypto, $FUND, to play a key role in the Layer-2 solution for Shiba Inu. However, the rumors were denied by both SHIB Token’s official Twitter account as well as Unification’s representatives.

Soon after the news, Bone ShibaSwap spiked, recording an impressive monthly bull run with 66% in the green. Adding another 5% in the last 24 hours, BONE currently trades at $1.34, according to CoinGecko. Moreover, the gas fee token for Shibarium seems to be in popular demand, as Crypto Twitter is full of listing requests.

If Shibarium’s phased launch goes smoothly, Shiba Inu’s $BONE might see listings on the most popular exchanges, as the alternative token is already highly favored by Ethereum (ETH) whales.

• Even though Shibarium’s potential launch date is set for Valentine’s Day, according to Crypto Twitter, the date is unconfirmed by the official SHIB Token team.
