Hedera’s native HBAR coin could slide toward 7.4–7.2 cents if its latest support test fails, according to an analyst reviewing the token’s price structure and trading flows. In the video, Cilinix argues that the late-September rebound is vulnerable because neither market conditions nor buying activity offers enough backing to confidently expect support to hold.
The immediate focus is around 8 cents. Holding that area would help preserve the higher trading range established after the rebound; losing it could pull Hedera back into the lower range traded during August and September.
Strong support, but little sign of buyers absorbing selling
The analyst identifies several overlapping support references near 8 cents: the previous month’s point of control, the round-number price level and the developing yearly value-area low. On chart structure alone, that makes the area a plausible place for a bounce.

Trading flows tell a less reassuring story. Cumulative volume delta, or CVD, is declining alongside price, which the analyst interprets as an absence of buyers absorbing selling pressure.
“We don’t have any absorption,” the analyst says. Funding rates had turned negative before returning positive, but the price failed to respond favorably—a combination the analyst considers bearish despite the nearby support.
A recovery needs more than a brief bounce
The more constructive scenario starts with a reaction around 7.8 cents, followed by a reclaim of 8.1 cents. That sequence, particularly alongside improving fundamentals and trading flows, could allow Hedera (HBAR) to stabilize before attempting another move higher.
Cilinix does not consider that the likeliest outcome. A return into the earlier trading range would instead raise the risk of a decline toward its lower boundary, around 7.4–7.2 cents.
Fundamental concerns reinforce that caution. The analyst reports declining total value locked, stablecoin market capitalization and fees, while arguing that broader conditions, including geopolitical tension, rising oil prices, elevated volatility and weaker equities—make support harder to defend.
