Blockchain intelligence firm Crystal has appointed former Ripple Managing Director Navin Gupta as its head.
Founded by Bitfury in 2018, Crystal provides real-time blockchain analysis, investigative, and compliance solutions to diverse clients, including financial institutions, regulators, and law enforcement. Crystal’s analytics platform is a free blockchain explorer, SaaS, or API.
Crystal Appoints Navin Gupta as CEO
In a press release dated February 19, Crystal unveiled Navin Gupta as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Gupta takes over from Marina Khaustova, who now assumes the Chief Operations Officer (COO) role at Crystal.

Previously, as the managing director of Ripple, Gupta oversaw the company’s growth in the MEA and South Asian markets. He also worked at HSBC and CitiBank and gained entrepreneurial experience as co-founder of a commercial transport technology platform, making him a suitable fit for the new role at Crystal.
Gupta lauded his new role, noting that it was an opportunity to leverage new-age tech and stay ahead of the curve in developing exceptional blockchain intelligence solutions.
“Regulators need superior intelligence and cutting-edge tools to navigate these changes, and TradFi institutions are seeking to manage risks effectively as they enter the digital assets market. Our goal is to stay insanely customer-centric, bringing our solutions to every corner of the world.” Gupta stated.
Per the statement, Gupta is the “perfect candidate to steer the next phase of expansion of Crystal.” The former Ripple MD now has a challenging task to make Crystal a powerhouse for blockchain analytics in North America, the UK, Europe, and MEA.
