In addition, the club has officially enabled Bitcoin payments to enable fans to transact in a fast, secure, and “limitless” technology.

“Today, exactly 15 years after Satoshi Nakamoto introduced the revolutionary Bitcoin technology for cheap, fast, secure, and limitless payments, Botev (Plovdiv) enables its supporters and the general public to use Bitcoin in the club's fan shops, as well as at the catering points located in the central stand of the Hristo Botev Stadium during Canaries matches,” the statement read.

The club’s president, Anton Zingarevich, heralded the integration as an exciting technology that could become an integral part of everyone’s life, akin to what the internet is today.

Noting that the Bitcoin payment option will soon be available for buying tickets in the club’s online store, the club promised a 10% discount on all products purchased with the cryptocurrency in November. This will act as an incentive for fans to embrace crypto payments.
