Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak Compares Bitcoin with Gold but Remains Skeptical About Altcoins

Even though Steve Wozniak left Apple back in 1985, his views regarding blockchain technology match with Tim Cook’s ones

Although Steve Wozniak is no stranger to praising Bitcoin, he has always been more fascinated by it as a technology than as a means of earning. Previously, Wozniak called Bitcoin “the most amazing mathematical miracle,” and recently claimed that Bitcoin is the only “pure-gold” crypto, in an interview with Business Insider.

On the other hand, he remains skeptical about the premise of Altcoins, especially regarding the population of shady projects. He said:

"There's so many cryptocurrencies that come out now; everybody has a way to create a new one, and you have a celebrity star with it. It seems like they're just collecting a bunch of money from people who want to invest at the very earliest stage, when it's worth pennies."

Even though Steve Wozniak left Apple back in 1985, his views regarding blockchain technology match with the company from Cupertino. Tim Cook, the current CEO of Apple, has said, in his opinion, that metaverses has “potential.”
