Apple has announced HomeView, a $299 smart home display to serve as a central hub for households, allowing users to play music, watch video content, make FaceTime calls and control compatible smart home accessories.
Powered by Apple Intelligence and an upgraded Siri AI assistant, the new device will open pre-orders on October 13 and be available from November 13, 2026.

According to an official announcement, the display can recognise up to six people, giving each household member access to individual apps, widgets and information.
Its upgraded Siri AI assistant supports more natural conversations and can deliver personalised responses using data from apps such as Calendar and Messages when paired with a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad.

HomeView also doubles as a smart home monitoring hub. Users can control compatible lights, thermostats, locks and blinds directly from the display, while a dedicated interface can show up to nine camera feeds at once. With compatible cameras and an eligible iCloud+ subscription, the system can identify people, pets and deliveries, sending security notifications when activity is detected.
Entertainment is another part of the package. HomeView supports Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple TV and compatible third-party apps, alongside an integrated speaker system designed for Spatial Audio. FaceTime, voice-controlled messaging and Apple’s Intercom feature give household members additional ways to communicate.
Apple is also highlighting privacy as a core part of the device. The company says its Secure Exclaves technology isolates camera and microphone data processing from the rest of the system.
HomeView costs $299 in the United States. Pre-orders opened on October 13, 2026, ahead of availability scheduled for November 13. However, European consumers will have to wait: Apple says the device will not launch in the European Union initially because Siri AI is not currently available in iOS in the region.
Why This Matters
HomeView reflects Apple’s broader push to bring AI-powered assistance into everyday household routines, combining personalised information, entertainment and smart home controls in a single device.
