A 64% XRP price decline coincided with a 14% increase in accounts holding at least 500 tokens, according to ledger snapshots cited by Cheeky Crypto in a fresh video. The apparent contradiction anchors the host’s bullish argument, but the figures measure accounts, not individual investors or their conviction.
The analyst reports that accounts above the threshold increased from roughly 1.26 million to 1.44 million over the period examined. At the video’s reference price of about $1.25, a 500-XRP holding was worth approximately $627, against roughly $1,775 at the cited record closing price.
The account ranking comes with a catch
About one in six XRP Ledger accounts holds at least 500 XRP, the analyst says. Excluding accounts with fewer than 20 tokens puts that proportion closer to one in three.

Those near-empty accounts matter: approximately 4.3 million of the ledger’s more than 8 million accounts held under 20 XRP in the cited dataset. Their presence makes a modest balance appear more exceptional in the overall ranking.
Exchange custody complicates the picture further. A single exchange address can represent many customers, while one investor can control several addresses.
Someone holding 500 XRP on an exchange therefore may not appear as a separate account in the distribution.
“These are just net counts,” the analyst acknowledges. Growth cannot distinguish new purchases from transfers, account splitting or other changes, and does not establish that existing holders refused to sell.
Historical rebounds offer limited guidance
Cheeky Crypto’s own outlook draws partly on historical days when XRP closed 60% to 70% below its running high.
In that analysis, prices were higher two years later in 79% of observations, but the overlapping dates represented only a handful of distinct market episodes, not hundreds of independent tests.
The shorter-term record was weaker: the median one-year outcome was approximately 9% lower. Illustrative scenarios put 500 XRP at about $445 with a token price of $0.89, $1,200 at $2.40 and $2,000 at $4. Cheeky Crypto explicitly presents these as scenarios, not forecasts.
Surely, the account growth is evidence of a changing ledger distribution, not proof of stronger demand. Custody arrangements and concentrated holdings limit what this measure alone can reveal about XRP’s next price move.
