XRP Spikes In Millionaire Count: What Do They Know?

Santiment’s data just reported that XRP Ledger added 32 new millionaires in around three months, contrasting the broader bearish momentum. The blockchain intelligence platform also acknowledged that XRP’s price slid to the lowest level since 2024, briefly touching the major demand area of $1.

During the same time, the OG altcoin’s price slumped by 29%, but millionaire investors kept adding more to their stashes. Moreover, the activity on XRP Ledger had just increased 33%, with August 11, 2026 being the busiest day in half a year. The contrast is definitely huge: ~35,700 a day in August against ~26,400 through July, 2026.

Fresh XRP Activity Linked To Seasoned Investors

On the other hand, the hard activity spike is mainly attributable to current XRP holders, rather than the new crypto wallet creation. There hasn’t been a wave of fresh retail interest, so XRP’s August activity step-up is due to the awakening of existing XRP holders. This interesting discrepancy alludes to XRP as a long-term investment vehicle.

From a technical perspective, XRP’s price has been trading in the falling wedge between $1 to $3, but the deeper on-chain signals point to serious volatility incoming. Which way XRP’s price would burst out remains the key question: the Spot trading volumes have not picked up so far, registering $858 million in a 24-hour time-frame, says CoinGecko.

On Futures, the market point of view is stronger: leveraged traders have put up $1.49 billion in trading volume in 24 hours, but XRP’s bulls got their behinds beaten: a whopping $1.77 million just out of $1.85 million in daily liquidations were upward XRP price plays, otherwise known as longs.

The long versus short ratio has shifted to 0.92, hinting there’s still more short-selling going on. On the other hand, Binance’s bulls have been the most prolific, keeping the exchange’s long versus short ratio on XRP at 3.0225, according to the real-time blockchain data from CoinGlass.

The sizzling millionaire wallet concentration figures could be tied to the regulatory winnings and further projections of successful adoption. Ripple’s been a heavy backer of the CLARITY Act, which is now due in mid September – this landmark draft bill could establish a gold regulatory standard.
