The MoU will see the companies evaluate the development of programs to educate private and public stakeholders on the benefits of blockchain and peer-to-peer technology. The companies also plan to leverage BTguru’s connections to “facilitate discussions” with financial players in the country.
“Additionally, the parties will explore real-world asset tokenization use cases for banks and evaluate regional payment network scenarios using Btguru Core,” the statement read.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino lauded the development, noting that the MoU underscored the companies’ belief in the transformative power of digital assets.
“This MOU has the potential to provide a solid foundation for the responsible and informed use of digital assets. We are excited to be part of a movement that could promote freedom and educate people across Türkiye.” Ardoino stated.
Tether’s partnership with BTguru follows local reports that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed the Turkish crypto bill into law days after it was passed by parliament in late June.
