With major digital asset custodians publicly showcasing their 13F filings, companies like Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs & Jane Street got the chance to break out the yardstick. For one, the $2 trillion giant Morgan Stanley revealed to be holding shares across a variety of XRP-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
These include XRP ETF holdings across Franklin, REX-Osprey and Bitwise. On the other hand, the $2 trillion banking behemoth’s XRP holdings are quite small when weighted against some smaller enterprises. To illustrate, Jane Street is drawing quite a lot of attention after revealing their 13F long equity portfolio.
Two Wall Street Giants Take The Lion’s Share
Indeed, Jane Street just reported a whopping 1.2 million shares of the XRP-based Bitwise ETF, cumulatively worth more than $14.20 million at the current market value of XRP. The asset manager also has smaller portions of XRP scattered across different ETF products, including Franklin, Grayscale, Canary & 21Shares.

Jane Street is known for generating super-high trading revenue:
- $39.6 billion of pure trading revenue back in 2025 (a Wall Street record that topped major banks).
- Over $40 billion year-to-date through mid-2026 (even after a reported ~$15 billion loss in July 2026).
Aside from Jane Street, another Wall Street giant that’s clearly keen on accumulating XRP is none other than Goldman Sachs. This multinational custody heavyweight sports a huge stash of XRP, freshly disclosing roughly $25.8 million in XRP-linked assets in the form of crypto ETFs.
So, while Morgan Stanley’s stake is real but modest relative to its overall portfolio & these larger reported holdings, smaller-cap companies like Jane Street are bursting out with trading activity & generating stupendous revenues.
However, one must bear in mind that 13Fs are snapshots as of quarter-end and don’t show subsequent changes or the full picture of market-making activity.
