  • SOL’s sophomore memecoin WIF gets listed on several platforms.
  • A new crypto whale spends 10,036 SOL to load up on Solana’s WIF.
  • Last week, Dogwifhat was listed by Bybit Futures & MEXC Global.

Following in Bonk’s footsteps, the cryptosphere has a new dog in town. Dogwifhat (WIF), a stylish dog-themed cryptocurrency built on Solana’s Layer-1 blockchain, is making waves this Thursday, with Binance, Crypto.com, and KuCoin simultaneously listing the coin.

Upon the news, Dogwifhat struck another 13.3% daily upswing, while the monthly perspective is a 133.3% increase. Currently, WIF trades at $0.4176, according to CoinGecko. Nearing $500 million in market capitalization, WIF now approaches its older sibling, Bonk, which stood at $776,770,251 at publication.

Dogwifhat Gives Birth To A New Crypto Whale

Solana’s new dog-encrusted memecoin has already given birth to a couple of new whales. According to the blockchain monitoring agency LookOnChain, one whale has splashed 10,038.6 Solana (SOL) tokens, or $1 million, on WIF, acquiring 2.68 million of the memecoin.

Just 16 hours after acquiring 2.68M WIF, Binance announced the launch of Futures trading with WIF.

Top Crypto Platforms Eager to Wear the Hat

Today, multiple major cryptocurrency exchanges flocked to list Solana’s emerging canine cryptocurrency. A few hours after Binance’s official announcement, Crypto.com added WIF, sparking even more excitement from the crypto community.

KuCoin also included WIF in spot markets, announcing the new trading pairs a few hours later. With a monumental bull run to start its existence, WIF fetched 5,535% in a month since launch but is still prone to massive price fluctuations due to a widening audience and strong competition.

On the Flipside

  • Solana’s Dogwifha’s longevity has not been proven yet, as the dog-themed memecoin was launched just over a month ago.
  • Binance listed WIF on Futures, while spot trading, including WIF pairs, isn’t available yet on the largest cryptocurrency exchange.
  • Over 50% of Dogwifhat’s current trading activity comes from decentralized platforms like Orca and Raydium DEXs.

Why This Matters

Solana’s memecoins tend to have a strong impact on the markets, helping its ecosystem contribute towards global crypto adoption.
