SHIB Army & DOGE Army, the two communities behind the top dog memecoins Shiba Inu (SHIB) & Dogecoin (DOGE), got into a heated debate on Twitter on Thursday afternoon. The crypto community was asked which popular memecurrency offers more utility. Afterwards, the discussion started and some of the answers were provided by the developers themselves.

For instance, the main developer of MyDoge Wallet, the self-custodial Dogecoin (DOGE) wallet, noted that Elon Musk’s beloved dog-themed cryptocurrency has to “appeal to a much wider audience than crypto Twitter.”

It’s Double Trouble For SHIB & DOGE
This comes at a time when the bears in this brutal crypto winter simply can’t get enough of slapping around the canine tokens, as Dogecoin (DOGE) lost its resistance support line at $0.06, while Shiba Inu (SHIB) is dangerously floating just above its crucial resistance at $0.00001. Some crypto influencers are taking the situation as a great buying opportunity.

Firstly, soldiers of the Shiba Army claimed that the difference is so huge, that such questions shouldn’t even be asked. Indeed, Shiba Inu (SHIB) has a lot going on for the ecosystem. The developments include:

- Shiba Eternity collectible card game
- Shibarium, the Layer-2 solution
- Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) gas token
- Welly’s fast food chain
- John Richmond X SHIB clothing brand
- Shibburn radio + burning portal
The depth of Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) Ecosystem is the main argument that Shiba Inu (SHIB) has more utility. However, it’s important to understand that at the moment Dogecoin (DOGE) is a sovereign blockchain using PoW (Proof Of Work), second only to Bitcoin (BTC).
On the other hand, Shiba Inu (SHIB) is an ERC-20 token, therefore the culmination of the project can only come once everything is switched to Shibarium. While the Layer-2 solution is yet to release, it will most likely be a game changer.

Meanwhile, most of the developments surrounding Dogecoin (DOGE) are tied to Elon Musk. For instance, the Tesla CEO just recently sold his “Burnt Hair” fragrance via Dogecoin (DOGE). Moreover, Elon Musk reported that Tesla hasn’t sold any of its Dogecoin (DOGE) holdings in the latest quarterly earnings report. Ultimately, this indicates that the world’s richest man has a bright future planned for his treasured canine token.
