Shiba Inu (SHIB) leading developer Shytoshi Kusama has stepped into a conversation surrounding K9 Financeโs product testing, drawing the publicโs attention to the fact that Shiba Eternity P2E is not a part of the K9 ecosystem.
SHIB Lead Dev Straightens Out Comradeโs Mistake
The argument occurred after K9 Finance DAO, the official Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSD) partner of SHIB Token, was invited to join a live broadcast of the K9 testnet product. In the message, K9 Financeโs representative named a selection of Shibarium-tied products, claiming that SHIBโs upcoming Shiba Eternity game is a part of the K9 ecosystem.
Shibariumโs lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, quickly noticed this and disciplined his colleague: โSorry, @buzzdefi0x, but Shiba Eternity is not part of the K9 ecosystem. Let’s chat about that offline,โ stated Kusama. Buzz, the co-founder of K9, swiftly reacted with a sincere apology directed at the Shiba Inu community.

Despite mistakenly stating so in a message about K9 Financeโs core product, BONE Crusher, Buzz did not remove the Shiba Eternity tag in his original message on X. Nevertheless, K9 Finance DAO is an official staking partner of SHIB Token, as well as one of the largest node validators on Shibarium Layer-2 network.
Shiba Eternity P2E Nears Anticipated Public Launch
A few weeks ago, SHIB Token announced their collectible card game transition from Web2 to Web3, including a welcoming gift package. The news sparked enthusiasm among SHIB Army members, as the mobile card game became an instant hit upon release in October 2022.
However, the on-chain version of Shiba Eternity includes several Web3-only perks, including ownership of all in-game cards. After the initial closed beta launch, Shiba Eternity P2E is solely available to Doge Killer (LEASH) holders, with plans to fully open up by the end of the year.
Following the news, Shibariumโs Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) plunged by 3.9% over the past 24 hours to hover above $0.40 and is still up 6.6% weekly. Meanwhile, K9 DAO Financeโs native token, KNINE, fell by 6.5% during the same timeframe. Itโs fair to note that future price movements for KNINE highly depend on the success of BONE Crusher and CEX listings.
