Ronaldoโs Legal Troubles
Following the conviction of the exchange and its founder, Changpeng โCZโ Zhao, a group of users filed a lawsuit against Ronaldo, accusing him of promoting unregistered securities and enticing unsuspecting investors.
Plaintiffs contended that Binance leveraged Ronaldoโs immense influence to reach and attract new users to the exchange, including unsuspecting investors enticed into buying unregistered securities.
The plaintiffs also claimed that Ronaldoโs massive following of 850 million people across social media platforms was instrumental in propelling Binance to greater heights. Following the initial launch of Cristianoโs NFT collection, search engine volumes for โBinanceโ rose to an outstanding 500%.
The case against Ronaldo is still developing. Given the elusive nature of his residence, the soccer star has yet to be served. Plaintiffs are resorting to unconventional methods, including sending social media messages and emails to Ronaldoโs current litigation counsel.
