Martin Shkreli has claimed that he and Donald Trumpโs youngest son, Barron Trump, were involved in creating the Solana-based token DJT.
Shkreli is a convicted securities fraudster and a former pharmaceutical CEO who earned the nickname โPharma broโ after smugly defending hiking the price of antiparasitic drug Daraprim by 4000% in 2015. He became active on social media in 2022 after he was released from prison following a six-year term.

Shkreliโs claims followed a series of events, including denying his involvement with the token and accepting a $100 million bet with a famous anonymous crypto trader on whether the DJT was โfake.โ
Arkham Offers Bounty for Identity of $DJT Creator
On June 18, Arkham Intelligence offered a $150,000 bounty to the first person who could โdefinitely proveโ the identity of the creator of DJT.
โFind definitive evidence of the creator of $DJT. We will accept private proof for this bounty but if accepted that proof will be made public. The source must be original and not from elsewhere on the internet,โ Arkhamโs bounty notice read.
Arkham issued the bounty after the DJT token went viral on Monday, fueled by rumors that it was linked to former U.S. President Donald Trump and his son Barron. On June 18, the token rallied as much as 180%, prompting influential accounts GiganticRebirth and ZachXBT to join in searching for its creator.
While GiganticRebirth called out Trumpโs involvement in DJT in his first X reply since November 2022, blockchain sleuth ZachXBT submitted for Arkhamโs bounty, a move he alleged played a role in unmasking Shkreli.
Martin Shkreli Comes Forward
In an X (formerly Twitter) post on June 19, ZachXBT claimed that Shkreli wrote him a โpanicโ direct message eight minutes after he submitted for the bounty, saying โI have over 1000 pieces of evidence I created it with Barron.โ
ZachXBT said that Shkreli hosted an X Space about thirty minutes later and publicly announced that he was DJTโs creator. Shkreli reportedly revealed that about other 10 people were involved in DJTโs creation, with another 40-50 being informed of the initiative.
DJT traded at $0.01102 with a market cap of $110.03 million as of press time, CoinMarketCap data shows.
