With the partnership, 21Shares will provide its professional customers with an additional layer of security, protection, and transparency to invest confidently in physically backed ETPs. Institutional investors will benefit from cold-storage wallets and “24/7 instant access” to enable them to move at the market’s speed.
Zodia Custody CEO Julian Sawyer lauded the partnership, noting that it echoed the potential and institutional demand for crypto ETPs “loud and clear.”
“We’ve listened. That’s why we have partnered with true market leaders in the ETP digital asset space, 21Shares, to deliver a partnership that will have a real impact on the whole ecosystem – without any compromise on security, risk management, or compliance.”
Zodia Custody’s partnership with 21Shares follows a similar collaboration in April with German asset manager DWS Group to provide custody services for the company’s Xtrackers Galaxy Physical Bitcoin and Ethereum ETPs listed on Xetra.
Other players leveraging Zodia Custody’s digital asset services include Marathon Digital Holdings, ETC Group, Polkadot Ecosystem, governments, and law enforcement.
