The maintenance upgrade, known as the Superchain Upgrade U16a, will completely replace the legacy U16, potentially giving Web3 users a lot more satisfaction. For developers, the U16a adds the much-needed safespace to test out trial their decentralized applications (dApps) on-chain without touching the mainnet.
