Ubisoft’s Raving Rabbids Are Coming to The Sandbox

the developer studio of Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Prince of Persia announced the partnership with The Sandbox and claimed that “Rabbids invade the metaverse.”

A quite unexpected collaboration has occurred in the crypto gaming world. By now, we have all heard that Ubisoft is one of the most biggest gaming studios interested in the blockchain industry. However, the gaming giant has started playing its joker wildcards right from the word go.

Recently, the developer studio of ‘Assassin’s Creed,’ ‘Far Cry,’ and ‘Prince of Persia’ announced a partnership with The Sandbox and exlaimed that “Rabbids have invaded the metaverse.” It has been revealed that Ubisoft will have its own estate and land in The Sandbox featuring some interactive experiences. So far, neither studio has revealed any specifics for what purpose the Rabbids have entered the metaverse, or the types of interactions they will enable.

In an official press release, Ubisoft commented:

“We’re excited to bring the Rabbids to The Sandbox community and to empower players to create their own original experiences incorporating elements of our gaming IP. We can’t wait to see how they make the Rabbids’ world their own. The Sandbox is an obviously new, fun playground addition to the long list of Rabbids world invasions, and a great opportunity for Ubisoft to experiment with a metaverse experience for its brands”

For their part The Sandbox enthused:

“We want to partner with IPs and brands that players already love, such as those of Ubisoft’s world-leading games, to keep bringing fresh new experiences to players alongside popular characters and items creators can use in their own original adventures in The Sandbox. We’re proud to welcome Ubisoft, a forward-thinking company that understands and respects the open metaverse community, to The Sandbox as we work together to create new possibilities for players, fans, and creators.
