Town Star is among the most popular GameFi projects featured on the Gala Games play-to-earn (P2E) gaming platform. An official post on Twitter announced that players can purchase any non-fungible token (NFT) that can be used in-game via Visa or Mastercard.
Town Star Opens The Doors for Any Players to Buy Their NFTs
On October 20, 2022, Town Star’s official Twitter page made an announcement that it now allows anyone to buy NFTs with Visa and Mastercard. This can be done directly from the Gala Games Store.
But there are only two NFTs listed that can be purchased this way:
- Haunted Maze – Zone 1 (EPIC) for $230 USD.
- Water Pump (RARE) for $70 USD.
The interesting part about these listings is that they’re in USD, meaning buyers don’t have to swap their dollars for cryptocurrency.
This means that if you’re a new player and want to get in on the Town Star action, you no longer need to own cryptocurrencies.
However, a crypto wallet is still a requirement to connect and obtain any future cryptocurrencies earned in-game or through which the purchased NFTs will be stored.

On the Gala Games Store directly, there’s a currency tab on the top-left side of the screen. Here any player or collector can choose their preferred currency, and a “Credit Card” tab has also been added.
When it comes to the game itself, Town Star is a Play-to-Earn (P2E) town strategy game developed by Gala Games. Why You Should Care
Offering players and collectors a way to buy NFTs directly without owning cryptocurrencies first is an appealing means to get in-game swiftly.
However, direct USD purchases or deposits on most centralized exchanges will typically have the highest transaction fees.
Players additionally still require a cryptocurrency wallet to store the NFTs. It might also be much more effective to buy cryptocurrencies first. This will consequently permit a much higher level of flexibility due to not being limited to the two NFTs currently listed.
