Microsoft aims to mine crypto powered by body heat

The innovative solution means computer power could be no longer needed to mine cryptocurrencies.

The blockchain industry has seen various innovative projects. However, the new patent from Microsoft seems to lift cryptocurrency mining into a completely new level.

Tech giant Microsoft, announced last week to be working on developing a cryptocurrency mining system, that allows to mine digital assets by using a human body. The innovative solution means computer power could be no longer needed to mine cryptocurrencies.

According to Microsoft’s filed patent “Cryptocurrency system using body activity data”, the new cryptocurrency mining system will rely on body activity data such as the heat emitted as a result of any human activity will be used for mining cryptocurrency.

How the mining system will work?

The new document says, that innovative mining systems will work via a server, that communicates with the users’ device and gives it commands.

First of all, the server provides tasks for the user’s device, which is coupled or comprised of the sensors, that could monitor humans body activity.

The data then will be transmitted back to the server, where cryptocurrency system will verify whether the body activity data satisfies its conditions or not. The users whose data is verified then will be awarded by their own-mined crypto assets.

While the patent is still pending, it remains unclear if and when Microsoft is going to implement the new cryptocurrency system into commercial use.
