Hyundai Brings Auto Fans Into the ‘Metamobility Universe’ With a Community-Based NFT Project

South Korean automobile brand Hyundai Motors has partnered with the ‘Meta Kongz’ NFT project to enter the Web 3.0 space. The innovative world of the ‘Hyundai Metamobility Universe’ will start releasing mobility vehicles as NFTs in May.

Meta Kongz has been in the NFT world since December 2021. The collection of 10,000 PFP gorilla NFTs is among the top 100 global NFT projects. 

The project’s video trailer, an almost minute-long clip slightly resembling the movie ‘King Kong’, features Hyundai’s iconic heritage – the 1975 Pony, along with Meta Kongz gorillas having fun in the virtual reality world. The creators are aiming to efface “the boundaries between virtual and real, time and space.”

With the concept ‘Metamobility,’ Hyundai seeks to “expand human reach to access ultimate freedom of mobility.” 

“The Hyundai NFT Universe will extend the Hyundai brand experience, especially with MZ generation, in a completely new way, further reinforcing our commitment to innovation in both the real world and in the metaverse. We are extremely excited to introduce ‘Metamobility’ through our own NFTs and start this journey with ‘Meta Kongz’,”

said Thomas Schemera, Hyundai Motor’s Global Chief Marketing Officer.
