CCP Games is currently offering open access to its blockchain-enabled MMO EVE Frontier, with a free trial period running until September 15 at 14:00 UTC.

The event allows players to experience the game’s survival and exploration systems without purchasing Founder Access, which opens the doors to the pre-launch version of EVE Frontier.

A Living, Player-Driven Galaxy

EVE Frontier is set in a fractured galaxy where players must gather resources, construct bases, and defend themselves against AI-controlled drones and rival players, known as Riders.

The game emphasizes player choice, allowing individuals to form alliances, reclaim territory, or take on challenges independently. Each action contributes to shaping a shared and evolving universe.

EVE Frontier entered Cycle 2: Ash and Resolve at the end of August, marking a new chapter for the space survival MMO. The second season, which introduces new missions, in-game events, and system updates, is currently available only to Founder Access holders.

How the Trial Works

During the trial, participants can complete missions from their hub to earn GRACE, the in-game currency that underpins the economy.

While Grace can be collected freely during the trial, it will only be converted into permanent EVE Points if the player upgrades to Founder Access before the end of Cycle 2. Founder Access also unlocks additional customization options and exclusive perks that remain unavailable to free trial users.

Getting started requires signing up through the official EVE Frontier website, installing the launcher, and following the introductory tutorial.

CCP encourages players to connect via the official Discord server, which hosts developer updates, community discussions, and recruitment for in-game tribes.

Why This Matters

The trial provides an opportunity for both new and returning players to experience the survival-focused systems of EVE Frontier before committing to longer-term progression.
