Cancore, a Canton-native platform connecting tokenized assets with public-chain liquidity, announced a $7.2 million seed round on Wednesday. Backers include Paper Ventures, dao5, ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures and Proof of Talk.

The company aims to connect Canton’s institutional-oriented infrastructure with broader liquidity across public blockchain networks.

Cancore Seed Round: What the Platform Does

Cancore has been live on Canton mainnet since April 2026, operating as a validator and Featured App. As of October 1, it had processed more than $53.2 million in lifetime volume across more than 84,000 trades, generating over $538,000 in protocol revenue.

The company describes its product as a “Liquidity OS for Tokenized Finance,” an execution layer for Canton-native assets, including tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), and liquidity on public networks.

Cancore uses atomic settlement for transactions between Canton and supported public networks. According to Cancore, trades are designed to either complete across both networks or fail without partial execution, with refunds provided when a swap does not complete. Users retain control of their keys through a self-custody wallet.

The platform also supports agentic execution through an MCP server, which lets users to automate platform actions and delegate execution to AI.

Cancore plans to let users build and deploy their own trading agents to execute strategies, rebalance portfolios, allocate capital and interact with liquidity.

Co-founder and CEO Wasif Rashid said the company sees a future in which users can deploy capital across tokenized assets and use agents to execute strategies and manage positions on their behalf.

Funding Plans and Expansion Roadmap

Cancore will use the capital to expand to additional blockchain networks and liquidity sources while continuing to invest in agentic trading, security and settlement infrastructure. Its current connectivity includes Canton, EVM-compatible networks and Tron.

Paper Ventures General Partner Danish Chaudhry said tokenized markets would need infrastructure comparable to clearing, settlement and prime brokerage in traditional finance. He noted that infrastructure connecting Canton with public blockchain networks remains limited and said Cancore aims to address this gap.

The company also plans to bring additional RWAs and liquidity onto Canton, with the goal of enabling trading agents to operate across Canton-native assets, RWAs and public-chain liquidity through a single execution layer.

Why This Matters

The funding highlights continued investment in infrastructure designed to connect tokenized financial assets with public-chain liquidity. It also reflects interest in combining blockchain execution with AI-based trading automation.

Canton is a public blockchain network designed for institutional finance, with configurable privacy that allows applications to share assets and data without exposing all transaction details to every participant. Its ecosystem supports use cases including tokenized securities, trading, custody, clearing and settlement.
