The Red Village Schedules Alpha Launch for March 2022

Crypto games are a relatively young industry. Even though they are an offshoot of traditional gaming, blockchain technology has induced a new era of gaming, and there are many niches that are as yet unexplored.  

Indeed, while AAA games are often based on mature topics, such as WW2, fighting sports, and a wide span of the horror genre, crypto games have so far largely stuck to using a pixel art graphic style and expanding the virtual pet genre. Of course, realistic games require realistic graphics, and that’s a point crypto games are yet to crest. 

Creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to explore are always welcome in any sector of the gaming industry, and ‘The Red Village‘ is one such project. The game is the first is a gladiator fighter with turn-based mechanics, and is the first in the sector to try out gory graphics. 

The experiment is definitely formed on a solid basis. For example, the Mortal Kombat series became a hit in arcades, introducing players brutal gameplay, and has become a staple of the modern fighting game community. After Street Fighter, the gaming audience was hooked forever.  

After releasing several videos showcasing gameplay, the developers finally announced the launch of the alpha for March 13th, 2022.
