During this year’s edition of the Meridian conference, Securitize announced plans of expanding the blockchain infra available to asset managers seeking to bring traditional financial products on-chain.
Stellar Emerges as Next Pick In $4B Tokenization Plan
The globe’s largest tokenization platform holds approximately $4 billion in traditional assets that could be tokenized. This was revealed in Meridian 2026, the Stellar Development Foundation’s two-day conference in Lisbon, Portugal. XLM has been chosen for quite a few practical reasons.
So far, Securitize has provided infrastructure solutions for Wall Street’s big boys, including the likes of BlackRock, Apollo and Hamilton Lane. Now, the $4 billion assets under management (AUM) giant tacks on the trademark Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP).

Tokenized asset issuers are now able to mint tokens tied to their equity, managing the issuance of tokenized stock within full compliance with the United States (USA) with their subsidiaries providing brokerage, transfer agency and investment advisory services.
“The Stellar network has built the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets, which speaks to the strength of its network and the growing institutional demand for tokenization” explained Carlos Domingo, Co-Founder and CEO of Securitize.
Why XLM’s Price Refuses To Comply With The News
On the downside, Stellar Lumen’s (XLM) price is trading well above all three moving averages in the bouquet, with the only nearby structural cushion emerging at the daily swing low of $0.1615, where a break would open the door to a near-term fresh leg lower in the prevailing trend.

These key moving averages are laid out between $0.18 to $0.19, but the ultimate near-term challenge is witnessed at the $0.20 level, representing the Red-Label Bollinger Band (BOLL). Breaching past this level could open the door towards the $0.235 confluent resistance level.
On the other hand, Derivatives markets data offered some relief. Judging from the 1.16 flashing long versus short ratio, leveraged players are optimistic about an XLM price bounce back, while short-sellers are soaking up a bigger part of the market’s liquidations, says CoinGlass data.
