As Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) public Layer-2 blockchain Shibarium rolls out the Karma points feature, many Web3 dwellers are wondering how to grab some of the freebies. The Shiba Inu Karma points are to be integrated in the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) via Karma pools, potentially enabling boosts in liquid staking rewards for high-scoring Shibarium users.

Shytoshi Kusama Makes Surprise Appearance

In response to Shytoshi Kusama’s appearance on ShadowHunter’s podcast, Shibarium L2 developer Kaal Dhairya compared Shiba Inu Karma system to that of gaming experience, when the player earns XP upon completed quests & missions.

The nearly 22-minute podcast episode is hosted by Shytoshi Kusama, Shiba Inu (SHIB) lead developer. Giving a round of applause for the recently hit Shibarium’s 1 billion transaction record, praising the Layer-2 blockchain as the foundation for who the SHIB Army is.

Shibarium’s lead dev Shytoshi Kusama also dug deeper into topics such as astrology, his spiritual experience during Ramadan and the huge amounts of information everyone is processing nowadays.

What Can Shiba Inu Karma Points Be Spent On?

Then, a Shibarium developer named Shadow was asked to explain the brand new Karma system on Shibarium. It’s like a trust score, associated with “how valuable are users are”, to understand who you are dealing with on-chain across a bunch of different decentralized applications (dApps).

These include Play 2 Earn (P2E) games, digital art marketplaces, liquid staking and DEX, among other features that are yet to launch, such as SHIB: The Metaverse. However, the team proceeded with plans to launch TREAT despite the bear market conditions.

The fourth token in Shiba Inu’s ecosystem is also powering ShibOS, a blockchain-based operating system recently chosen by the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Presently, Shiba Karma points can be redeemed for miscellaneous digital goods, including exclusive access to both physical and digital Shiba Inu community events, extra voting power on DAO proposals and boosted visibility on official platforms.

The Karma system on Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 blockchain aims to drive growth and build good vibes among community members, enabling those SHIB Army members that care the most to have an amplified voice.

On The Flipside

  • According to the structure of Shiba Inu Karma point allocation, Pup & Young Mutt are the lowest levels of Web3 users, who receive no special privileges up to 100 karma points.
  • A SHIB Apprentice, scoring between 500 and 1000, can submit proposals to the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), while 1000 and above prioritizes posts.
  • The highest Shiba Inu Karma levels are GrandShiba & The Dogo Master, having a 1.8x and 2x voting power multiplier, along with double-digit amounts of proposal slots.
