As the meme coin season loudly returns with Solana’s (SOL) Pump.Fun ecosystem clocking in a massive $1 billion trading volume, streamers find the most creative ways to promote their coins online.

The song, which seems more of a hard-hitting street symphony rather than a typical Drake love ode, immediately captured the attention of Web3 dwellers on Pump.Fun, quickly aping into the meme token.

Drake Puzzled Over BAGWORK Dev Stunt

“First time this song is ever played”, – yelled one of the live streams, while another shouted “Buy f****** BAGWORK right now”. Did this promo campaign involving unreleased Drake music work? It surely did, but temporarily.

Further on, music journal Rolling Stone reported that Drake had called into the Kick livestream of Adin Ross, a popular Hip Hop influencer. Intriguingly, Ross initially thought this was a smart promotional campaign by Drake’s team, preparing for the release of Iceman album later this year.

“I don’t even know who the f*** those kids are”, – spat out Drake to Adin Ross. Immediately, Adin Ross went on to contact BAGWORK’s flamboyant duo to tackle the elephant in the room.

Pump.Fun’s 3,000% Uptick Gone Wrong

The associated token skyrocketed over 3,000% to match a $55 million market cap at one point, trading at $0.05. This represents a short-lived upswing, as BAGWORK dipped 44% in the latest 24-hour period and now trades at just $0.008 with $8 million circling around in market cap.

Among major exchanges, MEXC was the first one to list the meme token. Interestingly, this BAGWORK duo is notorious for going lengths to promote their tokens. Today, rumours started swirling that one of the devs got arrested for promoting a flag with the token name on the Hollywood sign.

Just last week, a Los Angeles Dodgers game was invaded to attract attention, as the pair constantly wore white t-shirts with bold black Pump.Fun token names on them.
