BudBlockz’s Private Sale is Ahead of Schedule. Could it be as Big as Decetraland?

Just a week into its month-long private sale, cannabis-crypto pioneer BudBlockz (BLUNT) has sold more than a third of its allotted tokens. Its fast start echoes those of other cryptocurrencies, notably STEPN and Decentraland (LAND), each of which parlayed strong private-sale and presale support into resilient post-launch value. Could BudBlockz be poised to follow a similar trajectory?

Private sales are often cloaked in secrecy. The typical private sale is an opportunity for early supporters of a cryptocurrency, institutional investors, and insiders with whom a new platform wishes to curry favor, to establish significant positions in a token before its presale, while incurring little risk. Like STEPN before it, BudBlockz is using its private sale to demonstrate the viability of its long-term use cases and value proposition. Like BLUNT, STEPN predicated its future prospects on its ability to deliver meaningful value to users in ways that transcended the crypto space. Investors immediately recognized the opportunity, and STEPN tokens sold out before the scheduled end of its private sale. LAND, for its part, represented a completely new and uniquely compelling use case, and the strength of its private sale proved an indicator of good things to come. With weeks still left in BLUNT’s semi-private sale, all indications are that BudBlockz is off to a similarly promising start.
