With AI fueling historic growth, NVIDIA’s revenue surged 78% in Q4, driven by data center expansion and Blackwell GPU sales. The company expects momentum to continue into 2025.

AI Demand Pushes NVIDIA to Record-Breaking Quarter

According to the report, NVIDIA delivered another record-breaking quarter, posting $39.3 billion in revenue for Q4 FY2025โ€”up 78% from the same period last yearโ€”driven by soaring demand for AI chips.

Net income surged to $22.1 billion, a sharp increase from $12.3 billion a year ago, reflecting the companyโ€™s expanding profitability.

The data center segment remained the key growth driver, generating $35.6 billion in revenue, a 93% year-over-year jump, as businesses accelerated investments in AI infrastructure.

A major contributor to this surge was NVIDIAโ€™s new Blackwell GPU architecture, which brought in $11 billion in Q4 alone. CEO Jensen Huang described demand as โ€œamazingโ€ and emphasized the rapid adoption of the companyโ€™s latest AI supercomputers.

โ€œWeโ€™ve successfully ramped up the massive-scale production of Blackwell AI supercomputers, achieving billions of dollars in sales in its first quarter,โ€ Huang said. โ€œAI is advancing at light speed as agentic AI and physical AI set the stage for the next wave of AI to revolutionize the largest industries.โ€

Nvidia Stock Price Reacts

Following the earnings report, NVIDIA stock price jumped 3.67% to $131.28, recovering some losses from Januaryโ€™s historic selloff.

Just weeks earlier, NVIDIA faced its biggest-ever single-day drop, shedding nearly $600 billion in market value after concerns over Chinese AI rival DeepSeek. NVIDIAโ€™s stock plunged nearly 17% in a single day.

On the Flipside

  • While NVIDIA thrives on AI-driven growth, Microsoftโ€”OpenAIโ€™s strategic partnerโ€”is scaling back its U.S. AI data center expansion, citing rising costs and supply chain limitations.

Why This Matters

NVIDIAโ€™s AI dominance extends beyond tech, influencing blockchain, Web3, and crypto markets. With AI-powered GPU computing driving decentralized networks and algorithmic trading, NVIDIAโ€™s performance could shape the future of digital assets and high-performance computing.
