As Draft week approaches, The National Football League (NFL) has launched a series of card-themed NFTs. The collection will be distributed on the Flow blockchain, unlike the previous NFTs which were sold on NFL’s Polygon marketplace last November.

The 2022 Draft ‘Virtual Ticket’ NFTs include 52 digital collectibles from 32 teams, priced at $52 each. The NFTs are labeled as ‘Virtual Commemorative Tickets,’ however, they will not function as entrance tickets to attend the live event held in Las Vegas.

The NFL Draft – the Player Selection Meeting – takes place on April 28th – 30th, and is an annual selection in which NFL teams takes turns picking up promising new players from college.

Flow, created by Dapper Labs, is the blockchain network used by ‘NFL All Day‘. ‘NBA Top Shot‘ and ‘UFC Strike‘ use the same network.

NFL All Day was launched in February, and resembled NBA’s Top Shot, following the latter’s earlier successes—an NFT marketplace for sports collectibles officially partnered with the league.

Apart from the NFT collection, NFL All Day will be holding a giveaway, and five lucky NFT holders will have the opportunity to go to Las Vegas to attend the event, with two even getting the chance to go on stage to announce a selection of draft picks.
