New Game in “The Walking Dead” Series Will Be on Blockchain within Gala Games’ Ecosystem

Gala Games is really expanding its game list. Not only that, but now they are doing so with a big name: ‘The Walking Dead.’ The new game in the universe will feature play-to-earn mechanics, and the genre of the game was announced to be survival MMORPG. The Walking Dead Empires will feature crafting, base building, land ownership, and many other gameplay aspects which are yet to be announced.

Alongside this huge title, Gala Games also announced two further projects: Last Expedition and Legacy. The former is set to be a first-person shooter with the creator of Halo 2 at the helm! The latter is a business simulation game.

So far, Gala Games has shown a rigorous approach to game building. For example, Spider Tanks brought with it some interesting gameplay mechanics to the blockchain game industry, while many others have simply been copying the tried and tested recipes of popular games, along with the addition of play-to-earn features. On the other hand, only 2 of the 8 games on their list are currently available to play, whereas the rest are still in development. Therefore, it is yet to be seen whether Gala Games will become the new Sky Mavis in 2022.
