Mini Royale: Nations is Farawayโs first and only title. The game is in the same vein as Valorant and PlayerUnknownโs Battlegrounds (PUBG), hosting classic FPS game modes, including Team Deathmatches (TDM), Capture the Flag, and more.

The Miami-based blockchain game studio has raised $30 million in funding rounds since its inception, backed by industry leaders, including a16z and Sequoia Capital. Today, Mini Royale: Nations allegedly welcomes 25,000 daily active users and 500,000 monthly users per its co-founder, Alex Paley. According to Faraway, an active user is a unique user that engages with the app within 24 hours.
In an effort to stay committed to its mission of promoting player-driven economies and retaining its player base, the browser-based shooter game is launching its fourth season with new samurai-themed challenges, maps, battle passes, heroes, and more.ย
Here are details of whatโs coming out in the new season:
- Two collections (Premium and Loot) of street fighters, samurai, and shinigami hero NFTs.ย
- Release of 20 premium heroes that players can access through Premium Samurai Drop or Premium Contracts.ย
- Premium Hero NFT holders can gain access to S4 Premium Battle Pass, S4 Premium Contracts, tier boost in the battle pass, and more.
- For the first time, heroes and weapons from the Loot collection will be unlockable through item shards. Players can summon Loot items only if they collect all shards.ย
- Players can earn item shards through Battle Passes, Challenges, Contracts, Clan Wars, Daily Attendance, and the Lucky Shooting Range. Moreover, special contracts have been placed for loot collection NFT holders.
- New battle pass with 120 tiers. Players need a total of 2.5 million points to progress through all tiers.ย
- New Map called Shinigami Square. The arena map features new POIs, including tunnels, elevated lanes, and more.ย
- The Quest system has split into two new groups called Challenges and Contracts.ย
- New fusion recipes will be released every week until the end of the season.ย

- The developer has announced it will launch its anticipated Gear feature this season. The new feature will enable NFT holders to equip gear on their heroes. Itโll be the first time a game allows NFTs to be equipped on an NFT. However, the game studio also announced launching gear last season but failed to do so.ย
- Unlike most NFT-powered games, Farawayโs flagship title is relatively wallet-friendly. Besides playing for free, players can mint shards for as low as 0.099 SOL or $1.19.
