Do you remember BattleBots? It was the revolutionary TV show that not only showcased creativity but also premiered one of the most entertaining real robot fights. In a way, it was the Western response to the Japanese mecha genre. Â
On the other hand, BattleBots didn’t get much recognition in the video game space, at least not as much as mecha. The only few examples springing to mind are BattleBots for Game Boy Advance and the Robot Arena series. Â
MetaGear is a game with a similar vibe to the show, where you create your fighting machine out of components and participate in fighting tournaments. Visually, it’s very close to Bom Crypto, a play-to-earn reincarnation of Bomberman.Â
