HashPack users can now buy tokenized stocks and ETFs through SODAX without relying on liquidity pools on Hedera, according to CEO and co-founder May. Speaking with the host about the wallet’s latest upgrades, she described an integration that lets users pay with HBAR or Hedera USDC while accessing liquidity outside the network.

That distinction matters for larger trades. Assets traded through shallow pools can suffer significant price slippage; May said the SODAX integration avoids depending on locally supplied liquidity to execute purchases.

Stock exposure through a different liquidity route

According to May, buyers receive an HTS token representing a Robinhood stock token issued on Robinhood Chain. She said SODAX maintains the one-to-one relationship, giving users exposure to the underlying asset’s price without requiring another wallet or a manual move to another blockchain.

“You’re not relying on liquidity that exists on the network,” she said. Previously, most assets available to trade through HashPack depended on SaucerSwap pools, apart from token-launch platforms that subsequently created pools there.

May also described dividends as being reinvested into the same stock rather than distributed as cash, qualifying that explanation with “as far as I know.”

The interview did not establish the products’ legal ownership rights, redemption terms or geographic restrictions; details investors would need before treating them as interchangeable with brokerage-held shares.

She sees potential for lending and borrowing against tokenized stocks, although the discussion did not establish that those functions are available inside HashPack.

A broader wallet, but no near-term enterprise promise

The stock integration accompanies HashPack’s “Portfolio” redesign, which adds a customizable homepage and bottom-opening navigation dock. May said most users access the wallet on mobile, and its growing collection of swaps, staking options and NFT integrations had made features harder to find.

Enterprise integrations remain a slower prospect. HashPack has ongoing discussions, May said, but nothing particularly exciting to flag for the short term; she suggested developments could emerge over 12 to 24 months.
